If Carlsberg made Honda Dealers ! This would probably be the best Honda Dealer ever!! Speedwell Honda at Newton Abbot is the most efficient & friendliest dealer I have come across, it feels like a family run unit, there’s a great atmosphere & the staff are brilliant, they have looked after my Honda & me since 2011. I love the little touches like flowers when I buy a car, constant supply of good coffee & just general good manners & caring attitude of the staff. Thank you Speedwell Honda see you at the service date.

I now add to an existing review which is on this site. Who can you trust when it comes to our car servicing? On February 7th I had the jag serviced and then the MOT. It was a delight to have explained by Steve an experienced and trustworthy mechanic, what had taken place. We "old boys" like to log details about our pride and joy. Good lad and again I would recommend servicing at Speedwell Online - Kingsteignton!

Having purchased numerous makes of vehicle over the past years I wanted an SUV that offered room in the boot for a dog. HRV was the final choicer. The problem of dealership. I chose Speedwell Newton Abbot based entirely on the professionalism of sales exec Stephen PERALTA. A breath of fresh air amongst car sales staff. He was not pushy and avoided the usual "If you sign today I can offer you a special deal". He arranged test drives in diesel and petrol variants and provided comprehensive detail of both but left me to choose. On the day of pick up nothing was too much trouble, it was a pleasure to provide the business to SP on behalf of Speedwell.

Hello Vic, Delighted to respond on service from the Newton Abbot staff. As a retired business man I know of the importance of what is called service... or what I would prefer to call... service that excels, service that goes that little bit further than the good book says. I take my Honda in for a recall on the passenger airbag and tell Dan of a wobbly offside wing mirror glass after a “meeting” with another wing mirror on a narrow road. No fuss just a friendly “we’ll take care of it". And they did. I am no engineer... cars are a motorised tin box on four wheels to get one from A to B; other people who have a need to regularly do that I am more than happy to say Honda from Speedwell. Thank you for your email. I will score a 5 when I receive the request from Honda. My experience in Newton Abbot was very pleasant. Staff were friendly, polite, good humoured, informative, proactive and efficient. This included texting me when the work was complete (within the timescale specified), leaving the service booklet open on the passenger seat showing the service stamp (meaning I didn’t need to check), and welcoming me back at collection with humour. I really do appreciate your human centric approach. Thank you. The above directly contrasts with the dealership for my last car (not Honda but large player) which was unfriendly, inefficient and with far too greater an emphasis on selling as against service. I chose to buy Honda because of good reviews on reliability and also the closeness of Newton Abbot to our home. My first service experience was a pleasure, so thank you. Yours sincerely J Nietrzebka

I was very happy with the service provided by Speedwell Honda yesterday, enabling me to drive my car again with confidence. You staff are kind and friendly as well as being efficient. This counts for a lot in my opinion. My car started briskly this morning as required, rather than being a non-starter as it was yesterday. Surprising the difference a new battery makes. I am pleased that this battery is guaranteed for three years. Thank you for your communication. I'll be back in February for the MOT. Regards Eileen Reynolds.
